# Midjourney Workflow

> Common Midjourney task sequences

1. Call `imagine` to create a task.
2. Use the [query endpoint](./query) until the task reaches `SUCCESS`.
3. Use the returned task ID with `upscale`, `variation`, `zoom`, `pan`, or `video`.
4. When `inpaint` reaches `MODAL`, submit a publicly accessible mask URL with `modal`.
5. To select a U/V action from the returned `buttons`, pass the corresponding parent task ID and `custom_id` to the action endpoint.
